Apparently Thomas is very comfy and in no hurry to make his grand entrance! This would have been nice to know considering how much stress the last eight weeks of contractions caused us! He is tricky already :) I just got an epidural (AWESOME- don't judge) and the doctor broke my water. Hopefully things will pick up from here on out. She said it could still be another twelve hours, so who knows!
We are humbled and overwhelmed by all of the sweet messages and prayers on behalf of Thomas!! Thanks to everyone for your support!
Love, Melissa
I love that you're blogging while in labor! Thinking of you and the baby all the time!

No LEGIT L&D nurse would EVER judge you for getting an epidural girl. Hoping that the little nudger decides to say hey mommy (& daddy) soon! & of course continuing to pray for his safe delivery & extra special care. Lots of people in your 'ol Easley stomping ground have you guys on the top of their prayer lists. Much Love~~~Steph
ReplyDeleteHe knows it's cold and bright outside of Mommy...smart cookie. Praying diligently for you guys. ~The DiGiuseppes
ReplyDeleteWow Mel! You can do it! Thomas is already an Allen...he doesn't want to come outside and play! Love you!
ReplyDeleteDear Thomas,

xoxoxoxoxoxo Epidurals make the pitocin so much more bearable!
I also love that you are blogging while in labor! And I wouldnt dream of judging you for the epidural. As someone who had 2 scheduled c-sections, and doesn't even know what the slightest contraction feels like, I have no room to judge. I had it way too easy. I'm so excited for you to meet your amazing little snugglebug, and know that there are tons of prayers coming your way from NC! With lots of love and prayers for all of you, The Websters

ReplyDeleteMelissa,
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for this update. You have been on my mind all day. I am hoping that sweet Thomas has made his appearance by now and that things are going well. My kids and I have added him to our prayers and said a special one for him tonight before they went to bed. Keeping you in my constant thoughts.
Yay for epidurals! :)
