surgery update #2

Surgery is progressing, and Thomas is now on the heart-lung bypass machine

Please keep praying!

This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15 NLT)

  2. I don't know you, I saw this blog on a friends Facebook... I just wanted to let you know I will be praying for your precious baby. He is in gods hands now and it sounds like he knows his mommy and daddy love him very much. I hope and pray everything goes smoothly I can't imagine what you are going through right now but god can do anything and it looks like lots of people are praying for baby thomas :)

  5. I went to Wheaton with the Hardys and saw a request for prayer on Lindsey's fb page. I just wanted to let you know that I am praying for you and for Thomas. We spent a month in Egleston's CICU, and in many ways I would say it was the holiest month of our lives. God showed up in unimaginable ways; He drew our hearts to Him in irreversible ways, and we hold those days -- as stressful and overwhelming as they were -- dear to our hearts. They were days overflowing with God's goodness, grace, mercy, love, and presence. I am praying that the same is true for you. We have two little friends with hypoplastic heart (one HLHS and one HRHS), and both are doing beautifully at nearly 4 years old and 2 years old. I am praying that Thomas will join their ranks as a baby with a miraculous heart. I'm lifting you both up too as I know how utterly nerve-wracking it is to pry your hands open and trust the Lord with your sweet son. He is a good God, and His fatherly care is perfect. May you rest in Him and trust Him at every turn.

    Blessings and prayers,
    Kathryn Apinis

btw, Dr. Kirschbom is awesome, as you probably already know!
